George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science

G.W. Carver High School of Engineering and Science is a small, 7-12 special admissions school for talented students interested in the sciences, mathematics, engineering, technology, and medicine. Our students engage in rigorous coursework, including 16 AP classes and dual-enrollment partnerships with several universities across Philadelphia. Carver students are involved with far more than just classroom work though: our school features robotics teams, dance troupes, affinity groups, athletics, and much more. We are a 2019 National Blue Ribbon of Excellence school with a 100% college acceptance rate. Carver is proud to be preparing the next generation of engineers and scientists with the academic and personal skills for success in college and beyond.

Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey

Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, through direct service and advocacy. In partnership with schools and at our Girls Inc. center, we focus on the development of the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and develop her inherent strengths. Over 2,700 girls participate in Girls Inc. programs in the Greater Philadelphia region.

The Providence Center

Providence Center has been serving the Fairhill neighborhood since 1993. We use education as a tool to empower residents to transform their lives and community. At our community center, we provide children with the opportunity to overcome trauma and grow to their full potential; we create experiences that encourage teens to become role models and leaders; and we offer adults the resources to learn English and be more involved in the community.

Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School

Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory high school in the Tioga neighborhood of Philadelphia for students of all faiths who could not otherwise afford a private education. The school is a new model of private high school that opened in 2012 because of a unique partnership of local educators, businesses and universities. Girard College

Girard College is a 5-day boarding school for academically capable students, grades 1-12, from families with limited financial resources, each headed by a single parent or guardian.
